UTeM's Energy Management
UTeM has started the Energy Management System since 2015 with continuous commitment through the UTeM Energy Policy. In 2018 UTeM agreed on the change of the Energy Policy of Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) to the Energy Management Policy and Guidelines of Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (DGP Tenaga UTeM).
OBJECTIVES
- To reduce the carbon footprint through efficient management of energy, water and fuel vehicles.
- To reduce energy consumption by 3% per annum per square meter of building space from 2015.
- To reduce energy consumption by 18% in Fiscal Year 2020 per square meter of building space (by using Fiscal Year 2014 as basis).
